The Fourth Annual Excellence in Education Celebration will be like nothing you’ve ever experienced before! On April 11, 2024, the Henrico Education Foundation will host an interactive evening at the Science Museum of Virginia where participants get to experience some of the opportunities made available in Henrico classrooms each day, from innovative classroom projects like conquering the Rubiks Cube and practicing simple coding to a hands-on exploration of our Workforce and Career Development Programs.

Our 25th annual golf tournament was held on Wednesday, October 11, 2023. We enjoyed beautiful weather, good food and great fellowship with colleagues and guests. We're so grateful to all our sponsors, donors and partners who made this year's event a great success. This year's tournament raised more than $47,000 for Henrico County Public Schools. Virginia Early Learning Partners (vaelp)
VAELP recently attended the grand opening of the second Blessings For You location in Henrico County. Owner Desiree Hicks has been a partner center with HEF and VAELP for four years and provides preschool care and education for more than 100 students using public/private funding. Desiree and her teaching staff work hard to continuously achieve the highest quality rating in the region.
We are excited to see the growth of this Henrico small business and the additional spaces it creates for quality early learning experiences for our families.
We encourage you to learn more about the early learning partnership between Henrico County Public Schools and VAELP, supported by the Henrico Education Foundation. Visit vaelp.org

CLC students and stem
Students from Varina High School’s Community Learning Center (CLC) after school program helped rebuild keyboards with Enrichment City, a provider of enrichment courses that lets students explore the processes of engineering by taking things apart, and using STEM procedures to put them back together. In this course, students learn the importance of following directions, applying patience, and paying attention to detail.
