Dr. Stephanie Daniel
Reynolds Community College
Dr. Stephanie Daniel is the Department Chair of the Early Childhood Education Program at Reynolds Community College—the same program she proudly graduated from. She has been in the early childhood education field for over 30 years, beginning her career at the YWCA Child Development Center, now known as The Sprout School.
Throughout her journey, she has held nearly every position imaginable in early childhood education settings—from van driver and teacher's assistant to lead teacher and center director. She has also served as a state trainer and worked as a trainer for a non-profit organization, helping to support and strengthen early learning professionals across the field.
After graduating from Reynolds, Stephanie continued her education at Virginia Commonwealth University, earning a Bachelor of Interdisciplinary Studies in Early Elementary Education. She later received a Master’s in Educational Leadership from Strayer University and went on to earn a Doctorate of Education with a specialization in Early Childhood Education from Northcentral University.
In addition to her work in education, I’m the author of the children’s book Hop, Stop, and Go: Elijah’s Great Outdoor Adventures. Outside of her professional life, Stephanie is also a proud wife, mother of four, and grandmother of four, all of whom inspire and ground the work she does every day.
