Dan is a long-time supporter of HEF and is proud to be continuing his support as a member of the board. Dan is a tax manager with KWC Certified Public Accountants, where he serves primarily small business and non-profit clients. He joined KWC Certified Public Accountants in 2023 after two years at Robinson Consulting Group; prior to that, he began his accounting career at Yount, Hyde & Barbour, P.C. and served a short stint in corporate accounting as a Controller.
Dan and his wife of 13 years, Katie, have two daughters Caroline and Lillian, aged 6 and 3. Katie is the music teacher at Shady Grove Elementary School, where she has been honored as teacher of the year twice! Dan and Katie are passionate about supporting education not only for their own children, but for their neighbors, friends, and fellow teachers all around the county. His favorite education related quote is from Benjamin Franklin – “An investment in knowledge pays the best interest.”
