The Henrico Education Foundation’s fourth annual Excellence in Education Celebration was an exciting evening that highlighted workforce and career development in Henrico County and showcased the work of the foundation and Henrico County Public Schools (HCPS) to empower #LifeReady students. The Henrico Education Foundation (HEF) hosted more than 550 attendees at the event on Thursday, April 11, 2024, at the Dewey Gottwald Center, and raised a record $400,000 of unrestricted funds in a single event - thanks, in large part, to our amazing 68 business sponsors.

ColonialWebb and Meta served as presenting sponsors for the evening which was designed for guests to participate and immerse themselves in hands-on activities at 20 exhibits that highlighted 17 career clusters offered to HCPS students. Innovative learning opportunities are offered to students at every level of education to help them discover and build on their strengths and talents.

We want to thank our sponsors, donors, community partners, and staff for making this event so special. Our work to empower #LifeReady students is far from over, and you can join in our efforts by participating in a matching gift challenge made by a group of anonymous donors the night of the event. Donations will be matched dollar for dollar, up to $25,000, with the potential to bring an additional $50,000 to help students discover their life path.
