Paula Roop
Program Officer – Innovative Grants and Educational Initiatives
Motivated and enthusiastic, Paula Roop is an award-winning educator with a passionate commitment to fostering innovative approaches that increase achievement of students across Henrico. After 28 rewarding years in the classroom, Paula joined HEF in 2008. In her current role as the foundation’s Program Officer for Innovative Grants and Educational Initiatives, Paula manages HEF’s Innovative Grants Program and provides overall leadership for a host of Foundation initiatives.
Paula enjoys reading—2-3 books weekly—spending time with husband Ron and son Ryan, and baking cinnamon rolls for HEF staff. She loves consulting directly with HCPS teachers and leaders on creative grant projects that engage students.
