Program Officer - Out of School Time Programming
Brittany Flippen, Program Officer for Out of School Time Programming, joined HEF in January 2022. Brittany began her career in education as a Teach for America Detroit Corps member. She eventually returned to Virginia where she taught for six years in Richmond Public Schools and also served as Site Director for John Marshall High School's 21st Century Program. Brittany earned her B.A. from the University of Virginia, her Master's in Teaching from Oakland University in Michigan, and Administration & Supervision Endorsement from Longwood University.

In her spare time, Brittany enjoys cooking, reading, traveling, and most importantly, spending time with family. She is excited to use her passion for education to drive student and community impact in her role at HEF.
